SCORING in the SOYFAI LEAGUE
DIVISIONS: In SOYFAI, there are two divisions, the North and the South. The Divisions consist of:
North Division: Colerain, Forest Hills, Glen Este, Harrison, Sycamore
South Division: Deer Park, Delhi, Milford, Reading, Western Brown, Wyoming
POINTS: SOYFAI tracks wins through their “League Standings”. Each weekend, each team that wins a Division game is given three points. Division games are those in which teams play against other teams in their Division. For example, when Sycamore plays Harrison, three points are given to the winning team. When Sycamore plays Reading, no points are given to either team since these teams are in different Divisions.
Every team has the opportunity to receive up to 12 points during the season (five teams from the North Division, six teams from the South Division, one team each week is assigned a BYE WEEK to even out the games). There are no ties in Division play; overtime determines the winner and loser. No points are assigned for losses.
